Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information FindJobBot collects when you visit our website or use your account, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name and email address, and your sign-in method (Google, email and password, or email link). Passwords are stored only as a salted hash.
- Your resume and preferences. The resume file you upload, and the roles, locations and alert settings you choose.
- Job activity. Matches found for you, applications you approve, and alerts we send.
- Usage and device data. Pages viewed, clicks, approximate location (country, region and city from your connection), browser, device type, screen size, language, referring site and page-load performance. We use our own analytics and no third-party advertising trackers.
- Email activity. Whether an email we sent you was opened, which we measure when the logo in the email loads.
How we use it
- To run your account, find roles that fit you, and apply only when you approve.
- To send sign-in links, confirmations and the alerts you ask for.
- To keep the service secure, detect abuse and fix problems.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume to advertise to you.
Who sees your resume
Only you, and the employers you choose to apply to. Our team does not browse resume contents. Resume files are stored privately and are served only to the signed-in account that owns them.
Analytics and your choices
Our analytics store a random identifier in your browser to recognize repeat visits. IP addresses are not stored; we keep only a keyed hash that lets us count unique visitors and spot abuse. We honor the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals: if your browser sends either, our analytics stay off.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to operate FindJobBot:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, our database, file storage and email delivery.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data while your account is open. Analytics data is kept for as long as it is useful for understanding trends. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, resume files, matches, applications and alerts. Some records may remain briefly in backups or where we are required to keep them.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email support@findjobbot.com from the address on your account and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, limited access to data and activity logging. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
FindJobBot is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
